Bendleby Ranges took out the Adventure category of the recent State Tourism Awards (November 2009).

We are also proud to have picked up a Silver medal for the Ecotourism category.

What's Bendleby Ranges?

Bendleby Ranges is an increasingly popular adventure tourism destination, three and a half hours' drive north of Adelaide, offering peace and tranquility in an unspoilt natural environment. Come and see, and talk to us, about how we integrate tourism with animal husbandry in a sustainable environment.

What you'll discover

Yackas on the Ridge Top at Bendleby RangesVisitors can follow the walking trails or take exhilarating drives over two rugged mountain ranges and be rewarded with spectacular views towards Lake Frome, Wilpena Pound, and the surrounding countryside.

The variety of accommodation offered - Gumdale Cottage, the old Johnburgh School House, and the Shearers' Quarters, together with pristine campsites set among pine and gum creeks, provide the chance to experience the Flinders Ranges at its best.

Near Orroroo which is only a three and a half hour drive north of Adelaide on sealed roads. See Map.

Suitable for

Camping, bush walking groups, photographers, flora and fauna groups, orienteering clubs, four wheel drive clubs, school camps, mountain bike riders, and families, kids are welcome.
